Now, we have the update, as the makers T-Series has issued a firm rebuttal to online rumours suggesting that Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla is linked to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise or that its storyline was adapted from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The production house has made it clear that the two projects are entirely unrelated.
The clarification follows reports claiming that the script of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was allegedly reworked for Bhooth Bangla. Shiv Chanana, co-producer at T-Series, dismissed these claims as baseless. “We have seen these articles, but the truth is we never received any script from Mr. Priyadarshan or his team related to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise,” he stated.Chanana further emphasized that the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is fully owned, controlled, and developed by T-Series. “It is our franchise. Any new developments or sequels are created under our supervision, as was the case with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I don’t know where these rumours originated—there is no truth to them,” he added.Industry insiders also noted that T-Series regards the Bhool Bhulaiyaa brand as a valuable asset and that any attempts to associate other projects with it without authorization could lead to legal action.
