Singham Again Box Office Day 9: Ajay Devgn’s Action-Packed Hit Nears ₹200 Crore, On Track to Be His Fourth Film in the ₹200 Crore Club
Ajay Devgn’s latest action-packed blockbuster, ‘Singham Again,’ directed by Rohit Shetty, continues to command the box office as it reaches its ninth day of release. The film, which faced off against Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ during the Diwali weekend, is on track to surpass the Rs 200 crore milestone this weekend. According to Sacnilk.com, ‘Singham Again’ earned an impressive Rs 11.5 crore on Saturday, showing a notable increase from its second Friday’s collection of Rs 8 crore. With a remarkable Rs 173 crore earned in its opening week, the film’s total collection now stands at an estimated Rs 192.5 crore.
If this upward trend continues, ‘Singham Again’ is set to cross the Rs 200 crore threshold by Sunday, making it Ajay Devgn’s fourth film to achieve this feat, adding to his impressive list of box office hits. The movie has already claimed a spot among the top five highest-grossing films of Devgn’s career. Leading the pack is ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ with an estimated Rs 277.75 crore, followed by ‘Drishyam 2’ at Rs 239.67 crore and ‘Golmaal Again’ with Rs 205.69 crore.
As part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, which includes hits like ‘Simmba’ and ‘Sooryavanshi,’ ‘Singham Again’ features a special cameo from Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey, leading to speculation about future crossovers with the ‘Dabangg’ franchise. Rohit Shetty shared his thoughts on the film’s success and its competition with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.’ “I’m thrilled that audiences are enjoying this film. It has been performing well for quite some time now, generating substantial revenue for theaters. People are flocking to see it. We did try to avoid a clash with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,’ but since our film had a Diwali theme, we couldn’t shift the release. In just a week, both films have collectively grossed over Rs 300 crores, which is quite impressive,” he told ANI.
