Singham Again Box Office Day 5: Ajay Devgn Starrer Crosses ₹150 Crore, Experiences Further Drop on Tuesday

Singham Again’ had an impressive weekend, amassing over Rs 120 crore at the box office within just three days. The film enjoyed a wider release and faced off against ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. Both films are performing on par with one another, yet they managed to avoid encroaching on each other’s audience. In fact, together they set a new benchmark for combined collections during the Diwali weekend, surpassing the previous record held by ‘Animal’ and ‘Sam Bahadur’.
The film successfully navigated the critical Monday test, earning Rs 18 crore, despite a significant drop of nearly 45 percent compared to the Rs 35 crore it garnered on Sunday. On Tuesday, the trend continued with further decline, bringing in Rs 13 crore. As long as ‘Singham Again’ maintains double-digit figures throughout the week, it will be in a solid position. Currently, its total collection stands at Rs 153.25 crore net in India, according to Sacnilk.
In regions like Maharashtra, ‘Singham Again’ has outperformed ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, whereas in eastern areas and other locations, the Kartik Aaryan film has posed stiff competition, having crossed Rs 130 crore within five days and trailing ‘Singham Again’ by just Rs 20 crore.
While the opening weekend figures for ‘Singham Again’ are commendable, trade analysts suggest the film could have generated around Rs 150 crore in its first three days, given its significantly higher budget compared to ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. It fell short by 25 percent of the expected opening weekend figures, highlighting the impact of the box office clash. Had it been released solo, it likely would have achieved a more impressive opening that reflected its substantial budget.
With no major releases on the horizon, it seems both films will continue to dominate the box office in the coming week and the following weekend. ‘Singham Again’ features a star-studded cast, including Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff.
