Actor Sheetal Menon recently shared the screen once again with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for a new Sunfeast advertisement, marking a special reunion more than 15 years after their previous collaboration. Moviegoers will remember Sheetal as Radha, the fiery and determined lawyer in Karan Johar’s critically acclaimed 2010 film My Name Is Khan, who plays a crucial role in securing the release of Rizwan Khan (played by Shah Rukh Khan) after he is wrongfully detained by US authorities.
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama while promoting her second short film, Duet, Sheetal opened up about her experience working with the legendary actor after so many years.
Reflecting on their meeting on set, Sheetal candidly admitted she doubts Shah Rukh Khan remembered their earlier work together. However, she was deeply moved to find that his signature warmth, respect, and humility remained entirely unchanged. She recalled being extremely nervous and shaking when she first arrived on set. When the commercial’s director introduced her as his co-actor, Khan immediately stood up, walked over, and greeted her warmly, instantly putting her at ease a gesture that Sheetal noted reflects his grounded nature despite his massive global stardom.
Beyond his welcoming demeanor, Sheetal expressed immense admiration for Shah Rukh Khan’s exceptional work ethic and dedication. She pointed out that despite decades of unprecedented success in the film industry, he continues to bring incredible energy, passion, and excitement to every project—even a short commercial shoot. She remarked that observing his focus up close was a masterclass in professionalism, proving how much there is to learn from his tireless approach to his craft.
Admitting to being completely starstruck, Sheetal revealed with a laugh that she was numb throughout the shoot, and it took her two full days to process that she had shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan once again.
