Shah Rukh Khan’s KING Locks Christmas 2026 Release; New Teaser Ignites Fan Frenzy

Shah Rukh Khan has officially announced that the highly anticipated action thriller KING will hit cinemas on December 24, 2026, marking a spectacular end to the year. The release date reveal, shared by SRK and director Siddharth Anand, came alongside striking new visuals from the film’s announcement teaser, instantly sending fans into a frenzy and positioning KING as the biggest Christmas release of 2026.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Shah Rukh Khan shared a teaser that plunges viewers into the film’s intense, high-octane world. The clip features SRK in a fierce, salt-and-pepper, bloodied avatar amid breathtaking landscapes and sharp, stylized frames that emphasize the film’s adrenaline-pumping tone. Alongside the video, he wrote,
“#KING is Ready to ROAR on 24.12.2026 in Cinemas #ItsKingTime #KingDateAnnouncement,”
sparking massive excitement across social media.

The timing of this announcement adds to the buzz, arriving just before the three-year anniversary of Pathaan—the blockbuster that marked SRK’s triumphant return to the big screen and kicked off his record-breaking run with Jawan and Dunki. With KING, director Siddharth Anand reunites with SRK, raising expectations for another thrilling cinematic spectacle.

Earlier, on SRK’s birthday (November 2), the makers unveiled the electrifying KING title reveal featuring his silver-haired, action-packed look, an SRK-themed track, and the now-viral dialogue, “Darr nahi, Dehshat hoon,” which generated widespread chatter.

Produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, KING stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut. The film’s ensemble cast also includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, and Rani Mukerji in pivotal roles.

With its grand Christmas release, explosive visuals, and SRK’s powerful new avatar, KING is shaping up to be the most awaited cinematic event of 2026—set to close the year with a bang and usher in an exciting start to 2027.
