The release date reveal, shared by SRK and director Siddharth Anand, came alongside striking new visuals from the film’s announcement teaser, instantly sending fans into a frenzy and positioning KING as the biggest Christmas release of 2026.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Shah Rukh Khan shared a teaser that plunges viewers into the film’s intense, high-octane world. The clip features SRK in a fierce, salt-and-pepper, bloodied avatar amid breathtaking landscapes and sharp, stylized frames that emphasize the film’s adrenaline-pumping tone. Alongside the video, he wrote,

The timing of this announcement adds to the buzz, arriving just before the three-year anniversary of Pathaan—the blockbuster that marked SRK’s triumphant return to the big screen and kicked off his record-breaking run with Jawan and Dunki.
