Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan Inches to ₹400 Crore at the Domestic Box Office on Day 8
Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller Jawan is still going strong on its second Thursday, earning ₹19.50 crore on its eighth day since release. This brings its total opening week collection in India across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu to ₹369.22 crore. Jawan’s domestic box office collection continues to soar, adding ₹19.50 crore on its eighth day, bringing the total to ₹388.72 crore. The film is now inching closer to the ₹400 crore milestone.
The breakdown of the ₹19.50 crore earnings across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu is not yet known. However, this figure is ₹5 crore less than Wednesday’s earnings of ₹23.20 crore. Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that Jawan has entered its second week with a bang. Jawan had a blockbuster opening week in India, grossing ₹369.22 crore, with ₹327.88 crore coming from Hindi and ₹41.55 crore from the South (Tamil and Telugu) markets. The film has also crossed ₹650 crore worldwide, making it one of the biggest Hindi films of all time.
Jawan is on track to hit ₹400 crore on its second Friday, and its second weekend is likely to be even more impressive, given that there is no Bollywood competition this week. The next Bollywood releases, Shilpa Shetty’s comedy Sukhee and Vicky Kaushal’s dramedy The Great Indian Family, are not scheduled until September 22. Meanwhile, you can see the official page of Red Chillies proclaiming about the worldwide collection of the action thriller, here is the post as under:
