Sammy Nanwani’s ‘Jai Hind, Jai Sindh: A Love Story’ Set for October 2026 Release

Producer Sammy Nanwani has officially announced that his upcoming feature film, Jai Hind, Jai Sindh: A Love Story, is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release in October 2026.

Set against the poignant backdrop of India’s 1947 Partition, the film explores an emotionally charged narrative centered around love, loss, and resilience. It traces the transformative journeys of individuals whose lives were fundamentally altered by the historic division, while simultaneously shining a spotlight on the rich heritage and vibrant culture of the Sindhi community.

Sharing the personal inspiration behind the project, Nanwani revealed that the narrative draws heavily from the lived experiences of his own family members who survived Partition. Their memories of leaving their ancestral homes behind and courageously rebuilding their lives from scratch served as the primary catalyst for bringing this story to the big screen.

“Jai Hind, Jai Sindh: A Love Story is a tribute to the strength of people who rebuilt their lives after Partition,” Nanwani stated. “Through this film, we also want to celebrate Sindhi culture and share its history with a wider audience.”

By seamlessly weaving personal romance into a major historical event, the cinematic narrative demonstrates how intimate relationships are shaped by broader socio-political shifts. Beyond its central romantic plot, the movie aims to honor the enduring traditions, cultural values, and unyielding spirit of the Sindhi diaspora.

The production team has confirmed that the promotional campaign will kick off shortly, with the reveal of the first-look poster, teaser, and soundtrack expected in the coming weeks. Further details regarding the cast, technical crew, and distribution strategy will be unveiled in upcoming announcements prior to the film’s October 2026 debut.
