Salman Khan in Talks with Raj & DK for Action-Comedy, Reports Reveal

Salman Khan, currently busy with the upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, is reportedly in discussions with the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for a potential new project. Though details are still under wraps, industry insiders suggest the film will be an action-comedy—marking Salman’s return to the genre after several years.

According to Pinkvilla, the collaboration is in its early stages but has already generated significant buzz. Known for their unique mix of sharp humor and stylized action, Raj and DK are reportedly interested in creating a large-scale entertainer if the partnership materializes. This would be Salman Khan’s first collaboration with the duo, making it a noteworthy addition to Bollywood’s commercial landscape.

A source shared, “Salman Khan has heard the basic storyline and shown interest. It’s an action-comedy but will present him in a slightly different light. However, he has not yet given his final approval.” The source added, “If everything aligns and Salman comes on board, the makers aim to start filming by the end of 2026.

Right now, the focus is on locking the script and creative vision. ”Since talks are preliminary, no official announcement is expected until the script and creative aspects are finalized. Both parties are intent on delivering fresh content while maintaining the mass appeal Salman is known for. On the professional front, Salman is preparing for Battle of Galwan, based on the June 15, 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starring Chitrangda Singh, the film is slated for an April release. Meanwhile, Raj and DK continue riding high on the success of The Family Man Season 3, with a new season expected soon that promises to elevate the action and drama further. The prospect of Salman Khan teaming up with Raj and DK for an action-comedy has already sparked excitement, teasing a promising mix of mass entertainment and contemporary storytelling if it comes to fruition.
