Sachet-Parampara Triumph in Legal Dispute Over ‘Raanjhan’; Copyright Claims by KMKZ Dismissedx

The acclaimed music duo Sachet-Parampara have emerged victorious in their legal battle against copyright allegations targeting their hit song, Raanjhan. Foreign musician KMKZ had accused the duo of copying the track, but after thorough reviews by leading streaming platforms, these claims were found to be completely unfounded.

Prior to the public launch of Raanjhan, Sachet-Parampara submitted all project files to major platforms such as YouTube and Spotify for verification. Following detailed evaluations, these services confirmed the duo’s rightful ownership of the composition and officially rejected KMKZ’s copyright challenges. In response to the false accusations, Sachet-Parampara have initiated a defamation lawsuit against KMKZ, emphasizing that the allegations have harmed their professional reputation.

They clarified that Raanjhan’s musical structure is built around a standard F# major chord progression—including chords like F#5, F#5 major 7, B sus 2, E flat minor, D flat, and E flat minor—commonly used across various original compositions, making plagiarism claims invalid. Addressing the controversy, Sachet-Parampara stated, “The person claiming to have composed Raanjhan is making baseless accusations designed to create controversy and gain attention.

After consulting with our lawyers, we have issued a defamation notice and are prepared to take strict legal action to protect our work. We have already shared original session files and piano scores with streaming platforms, all of which confirmed our authorship and dismissed other claims.”The duo reaffirmed their dedication to producing original, innovative music and expressed their commitment to letting their art speak for itself.

This episode underscores the growing challenges artists face in the digital era, where false copyright claims can quickly spread and damage reputations. By acting swiftly and transparently,
