Rohit Shetty inaugurated a gym for Mumbai police in the city, says he feels honoured to be a part of the event

Rohit Shetty, a filmmaker, holds the police service in high regard. He has referred to them as “real-life heroes” on several occasions. Furthermore, he holds them in such high regard that he created a cop universe featuring Singham, Simmba, and the soon-to-be-released Sooryavanshi. He did, however, attend the inauguration of a gym for Mumbai police officers in the city this time. He expresses his gratitude for being a part of the event.

Shetty shared the pictures and captioned them, “Not all heroes wear capes, some wear khaki… mumbai police. honoured”

Meanwhile, his latest cop-universe film has yet to be released in theatres. The movie was supposed to come out in March 2020, but due to the pandemic, it has been postponed indefinitely.

However, during the Bell Bottom teaser, Akshay Kumar was asked about Sooryavanshi. To this, Khiladi Kumar said, “Sooryavanshi release date ke baare mein sirf do hi log jaante hai. Ek toh bhagwan jaante hai aur ek toh Rohit Shetty ji jaante hai.”

“I don’t know when its releasing. Only they can answer. Bahut jaldi aa hi jaani chahiye kyunki saare cinemas khul rahe hai ahiste ahiste. Jaise hi yeh khatam hoga (Bellbottom’s release), toh Sooryavanshi aa jaani chahiye agli mahine ya agle do mahino mein,” he added.

Sooryavanshi also stars Katrina Kaif and Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh will be seen doing cameos in the film.
