Rajkummar Rao Increases His Fee to ₹5 Crores

While many reports regarding actor remuneration are often exaggerated or fabricated, I can confirm through a reliable source that the talented and versatile Rajkummar Rao has significantly increased his fee to ₹5 crores. A source close to the situation revealed, “Raj is turning down numerous offers for financial reasons, and rightly so. With ‘Stree 2’ potentially being one of the biggest blockbusters of all time, it’s only fair that he adjusted his remuneration accordingly.
One notable project that Rajkummar Rao declined was Vikas Bahl’s film “Darwaza.” The role has since been filled by Siddhant Chaturvedi, who accepted it for a fee considerably lower than Rao’s new rate.Rajkummar expressed his evolving career: “I have to acknowledge that my volume of work has increased significantly. It all started with ‘Kai Po Che,’ ‘Queen,’ and my National Award for ‘Shahid.’ I’m consciously avoiding smaller roles now and will only consider leading parts. However, if I were offered a role in ‘Satya,’ I would be open to playing Bhiku Mhatre instead of the title character.
Luckily, I’m not being offered supporting roles, which is a relief. My priority is the work itself, and I’m grateful for the roles that I am currently being offered.”He further noted, “I plan to take some personal time off before I dive into my next project. I would love to take on action-packed roles, dance, and romance beautiful co-stars. I have no reservations about playing diverse characters, but the script must resonate with me.
I invest myself fully in every role, even those of unsavory characters like the one in ‘Ragini MMS.’ I feel fortunate to be part of Hindi cinema during this transformative period. Five years ago, I wouldn’t have had opportunities like ‘Shahid’ or ‘Citylights.’ When considering a role, I prioritize the character, the narrative, and the producer.”
