Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 8: Allu Arjun’s Blockbuster Crosses ₹1100 Crore Worldwide, Poised to Surpass RRR and KGF 2

Director Sukumar’s action sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule has shattered several box office records during its first week of release. As it enters its second week in theaters worldwide, the film is anticipated to surpass additional blockbuster titles. After already exceeding the lifetime domestic totals of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Pushpa 2 is now poised to challenge the lifetime records of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and SS Rajamouli’s Oscar-winning RRR.

On its eighth day, Pushpa 2 earned approximately Rs 38 crore across India, reflecting a slight 12% decline from the previous day’s earnings. The film’s net domestic collections now total Rs 726 crore. Notably, the Hindi-language version of the film continues to outperform the original Telugu version, with collections widening each day. On day eight, Pushpa 2 generated Rs 27 crore from its Hindi release, compared to Rs 8 crore from the Telugu version, with additional revenue coming from its Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil adaptations. The Hindi version’s total domestic earnings have surpassed the Rs 400 crore mark within the week. According to Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2 has grossed Rs 1067 crore globally in its first seven days, suggesting that it has likely crossed Rs 1105 crore by the end of day eight.

This positions the film approximately Rs 100 crore away from surpassing both KGF 2 and RRR, a milestone expected to be achieved this weekend as collections are projected to rise. The film starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, Pushpa 2 is a sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise and will be followed by a third installment titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage. The highest-grossing Indian film of all time remains Dangal, which has earned over Rs 2000 crore globally, while Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has surpassed Rs 1700 crore.
