As the buzz intensifies for director Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming historical drama Main Vaapas Aaunga, the makers have announced a massive, high-profile event dedicated to India’s Border Security Force (BSF).
Titled Jai Ho – A Tribute to the Bravehearts, the event will take place at the iconic Attari Border in Punjab tomorrow, June 7. The musical tribute will be led by Oscar-winning maestro A.R. Rahman, who is scheduled to perform live during the celebrated Parade Ceremony at the JCP Stadium between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
Honoring the Men and Women in Uniform
While the tribute serves as a major anchor for the Main Vaapas Aaunga promotional campaign, the organizers have positioned it as a celebration that extends far beyond cinema. The initiative is designed as a deep gesture of gratitude to honor the daily courage, sacrifice, and commitment of the BSF personnel guarding India’s borders.
The event’s title draws direct inspiration from Rahman’s legendary, Academy Award-winning anthem “Jai Ho”, a track globally recognized as a symbol of national pride and resilience.
A Star-Studded Guest List
The event will bring together a powerful mix of cinematic talent and musical powerhouses at one of the country’s most symbolic geographical locations. It is known for the following elements:
- Creative Team: Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and lead actor Vedang Raina will be present on-ground to support the initiative.
- The Musical Ensemble: Joining A.R. Rahman on stage to perform tracks from the film and patriotic favorites are popular playback singers Mohit Chauhan, Pooja Tiwari, and Nargis.
- Industry Leadership: Top representatives from the film’s production stables—including Birla Studios, Applause Entertainment, and producer Mohit Choudhary—will also attend the ceremony.
The live performance at the Attari Border marks the grandest promotional milestone for Main Vaapas Aaunga yet, successfully fusing the magic of Indian cinema with a profound salute to the nation’s guardians. Stay tuned for more only with us.
