
The family decided to sell off the property since they felt that despite the renovation, the studio would g not give that amount of revenue that would help it keep running, hence they stopped doing the same. The actor informed that they had to juggle with the idea of making it alive with renovation seeking the state of art technology, but nothing seems to be working at this moment. He further said that it is not possible to raise the studio from the ashes and despite being emotionally attached to this place, they have decided to sell it off. He added that the investment in rebuilding and furnishing it would not yield much from the property.
He said that the family has invested a lot but the fact is that the studio has been not less than a white element bringing it to great losses. They just used to get smaller contracts in the form of some TV shows and a few films, which had to offer them free electricity, AC and other discounts that make things bad to worse. It was in September 2017, when a small portion of the iconic RK Films And Studios had caught fire which has further pushed the family into losses claimed Rishi Kapoor the son of veteran actor Raj Kapoor. The studio has given a number of hits films with a few including as Barsaat, Awaara, Boot Polish, Shri 420 and Jaagte Raho.
