Mahaveer Jain Films has officially announced its next major venture, presenting the ambitious Kannada sci-fi social thriller Lambodhara 2.0. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Simple Suni, the cross-industry project is slated for a simultaneous multi-language release in Kannada and Hindi on November 20, 2026, with the film’s first look set to be unveiled on Wednesday, October 14.
The film stars actor Kunal Kapoor alongside Saachi Bindra and debutant Anil Shetty. Adding a unique futuristic element to the production, Lambodhara 2.0 prominently features a real humanoid robot named JIA, marking one of the key highlights of the narrative.
Set against the backdrop of a modern world dominated by artificial intelligence and digital validation, Lambodhara 2.0 explores the central theme of whether technology can bring true human happiness. Seamlessly blending suspense, humor, and social commentary, the narrative examines the complex interplay between artificial intelligence, human emotion, personal freedom, and moral choices.
The announcement comes as Mahaveer Jain continues to expand a diverse slate of upcoming cinematic projects across multiple languages and genres. In collaboration with Rajshri Productions, he is co-producing Yeh Prem Mol Liya, directed by Sooraj Barjatya and starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. Furthermore, he recently announced RamBola, to be helmed by Hanuman Ansh director Vishal Chaturvedi, as well as the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Naagzilla, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 12, 2027. His production banner is also backing an upcoming devotional drama headlined by actor-politician Ravi Kishan.
Combining high-concept science fiction with accessible entertainment, Lambodhara 2.0 represents a major step forward for pan-Indian genre cinema as it prepares to hit screens nationwide this November.
