R. Madhavan, one of the most charismatic and talented actors in the industry, is enjoying a remarkable run at the box office. Earlier this year, he impressed audiences with his performance as the antagonist in Shaitaan, alongside Ajay Devgn. Additionally, his beloved 2001 romantic comedy, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, was re-released and performed exceptionally well. Currently, Madhavan is filming a new romantic comedy, tentatively titled Tharki, opposite Fatima Sana Shaikh.
However, recent reports by the popular B Town website called Bollywood Hungama, it has been revealed that the film’s actual title is Aap Jaisa Koi. A source disclosed that this title aligns perfectly with the film’s plot and evokes nostalgia, reminiscent of the classic song from the 1980 film Qurbani. Directed by Vivek Soni, Aap Jaisa Koi is set to explore the story of a virgin in his mid-40s who connects with a younger woman through a dating app. The film also features Namit Das and Karan Wahi and began shooting in Mumbai a few weeks ago, with plans to film in Kolkata in December.
In addition to Aap Jaisa Koi we could see the talented actor Madhavan is also involved in De De Pyaar De 2, reuniting with his Shaitaan co-star, Ajay Devgn. Meanwhile, Fatima Sana Shaikh is set to appear in the multi-starrer Metro…In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu.Interestingly, Chand Mera Dil, another film directed by Vivek Soni, is also in the pipeline. This film stars Ananya Panday and Lakshya from Kill (2024) and will be released under the banner of Dharma Productions. In contrast, Aap Jaisa Koi will premiere on Netflix, both projects being backed by Karan Johar.
