Karan Deol Pens Emotional Tribute to “First Hero” Sunny Deol Ahead of Their Historical On-Screen Clash in Batwara 1947

Following the massive digital reception of its gripping motion poster, Batwara 1947 has officially unveiled a series of character posters highlighting the resilience, determination, and raw emotion of its ensemble cast. Presented under the prestigious banner of Aamir Khan Productions, the period drama promises to deliver a deeply moving cinematic narrative centered around human sacrifice and survival during the Indian Partition.

Adding to the growing buzz, actor Karan Deol took to social media on Father’s Day to share exclusive, unseen production stills from the movie. The project marks a major milestone for the Deol family, as Karan will be sharing screen space with his superstar father, Sunny Deol, for the very first time.

“My Biggest Teacher, My First Hero”

In an emotional public note, Karan reflected on the surreal journey of transitioning from a fan on his father’s movie sets to becoming his direct co-star.

“There are moments that feel destined,” Karan shared. “Telling Papa once on his set about my dream of acting with him was one of them. To be able to share the screen with him today, while watching him up close, makes this Father’s Day truly special. On August 14, 2026, that dream finally comes true on the silver screen. It is a feeling I will never be able to fully put into words, and it’s one that I’ll cherish for life.”

Karan further spoke about witnessing the veteran actor’s work ethic from a fresh professional perspective on set:

“I’ve seen him as a son, a brother, a father, an actor, and a legend loved by millions. But standing beside him on set reminded me that his greatest role is simply being himself: honest, humble, strong, and deeply committed to everything he does. Happy Father’s Day Papa my biggest teacher, my strongest support, and my first hero.”
