Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is back in the news for selling her luxurious bungalow located in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra area. This sale comes at a crucial time, as her highly anticipated film Emergency is facing delays due to complications with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As reported by Hindustan Times, Kangana sold her Pali Hill bungalow for a whopping Rs 32 crores, with the transaction finalized on September 5, 2024.

Kangana acquired the property in September 2017 for Rs 20 crores. The bungalow spans a built-up area of 3,075 square feet and includes an additional parking space of 565 square feet. The buyer, Shweta Bathija, is a partner at Kamalini Holdings, a company based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The property sale incurred a significant stamp duty of Rs 1.92 crores, along with a registration fee of Rs 30,000, as detailed in property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.As of now, Kangana has not publicly commented on the sale of her bungalow, which has been a subject of controversy in the past. In 2020, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished portions of her property, alleging illegal construction. Remember this is the same old cottage, which has remained controversial a couple of years before.
