Kamaal R Khan Arrested by Mumbai Police for Alleged Firing Near Neeraj Kumar Mishra’s Residence in Andheri

Mumbai Police have arrested actor and self-styled film critic Kamaal R Khan, popularly known as KRK, in connection with an alleged gunshot incident in the Andheri area earlier this month. The arrest follows an investigation into gunshots fired near the residence of writer-director Neeraj Kumar Mishra.

Kamaal R Khan often referred as KRK was taken into custody from his studio on Friday night. After preliminary questioning, Mumbai Police formally arrested him. During interrogation, Khan reportedly admitted to firing four rounds from his licensed firearm on January 18. The weapon involved has been seized by the authorities. The social media seems to have gone nuts as they share this news and it is getting viral, how about checking the news from ANI as under shared on the microblogging site called X

As of now, police have not identified a clear motive. Khan claimed he had no intent to harm anyone and described the incident as accidental. He told investigators that while cleaning his firearm, he decided to test it, which led to the shots being fired. KRK explained that he aimed the gun toward a mangrove area in front of his house, believing it to be a safe, unoccupied zone. However, he alleged that strong winds altered the trajectory of at least one bullet, causing it to stray and hit a residential building in the Oshiwara locality.

Officials confirmed that Neeraj Kumar Mishra resides on the second floor of the building struck, while model Prateek Baid lives on the fourth floor. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Initially, police had no solid leads on the shooter’s identity. However, technical analysis and further inquiries implicated Khan, leading to his arrest. K R Khan remains in police custody as the investigation continues, with further action pending the ongoing probe’s findings.
