Story
The film deals with one of the vital and pertinent issues of the casting couch. A small town girl comes to the glamour city of Bombay to make her presence felt on the silver screen and soon ends up compromising to shape her career. She is successful and enjoys her stardom apart from continuing her comprises to get better and cool films for industry till she is being murdered and the soon the film turns its genre from being a semi-porn content film to a murder mystery. The cop investigating the murder of the actress has much to reveal, which is interesting to catch on the nearby screen.
Review
Nihalani who remained a pious Censor Board chief seemed to cross all limits, which he had set for others. Though he claims this film to be a complete adult family movie without having any cuss word or vulgarity element in it the fact is he, unlike any other filmmaker, has much to reveal. It is no more sanskari film but an erotic thriller allowing the south Indian actress to show a lot. The film has nothing new to offer over the silver screen as it discusses the age-old issue of casting coach along with showcasing the stardom and other similar issues that often remain the part of such movies. Even converting the erotic film into a usual thriller too remains the old idea.
Now, talking about the performance of the actors, the lady at the center seemed to have done an excellent job. In her skin show, she can do justice to her character. The others too have done a better job including both the actors Ravi Kishan and Aditya Srivastava. Now, talking about the direction and other elements, all seemed okay including music, photography, screenplay and technical aspects that somewhere helped to boost up the entertainment value.
Julie 2 – The Last
The film is certainly not a clean erotic movie for a family as claimed by the makers. It is just a usual film, which we often see time and again. If you are interested in catching up the skin show, you are certainly liberal enough to catch the film.
