In a major milestone for Indian cinema, the upcoming animated epic Baahubali: The Eternal War has been officially selected for the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. Championed by master storyteller S.S. Rajamouli, the project will be showcased in the festival’s highly coveted Work-in-Progress (WIP) segment during the last week of June 2026.
Reflecting the global anticipation for the film, tickets for the Baahubali: The Eternal War WIP panel sold out within just two minutes of the booking window opening.

The inclusion of Baahubali: The Eternal War in Annecy’s Work-in-Progress category places it in incredibly elite company. The WIP segment has historically served as a launchpad for global masterpieces, including Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Flow (which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2025).
