On February 26, Prime Video announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of Ikkis, a gripping biographical war drama inspired by the extraordinary true story of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal.
Now, talking about the film, it is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, the film stars Agastya Nanda as the young Arun Khetarpal PVC, supported by a stellar ensemble including the late Dharmendra in a poignant final on-screen role as Brigadier Khetarpal, along with Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, and Rahul Dev in key roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and co-produced by Binny Padda under Maddock Films, Ikkis is now available exclusively on Prime Video.
The film chronicles the brief yet remarkable life of Arun Khetarpal, a 21-year-old officer whose courageous leadership during the Battle of Basantar earned him the nation’s highest military honor posthumously. Ikkis offers a deeply emotional and immersive experience, shifting between intense battlefield scenes and the aftermath, where a father grapples with the loss and seeks to understand his son’s final moments.
