This announcement holds special significance, as earlier this year, Hombale Films officially confirmed their collaboration with Hrithik Roshan. On X, the banner celebrated the partnership, writing:

The much-anticipated prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara has kept its storyline tightly under wraps. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 is slated for a global release on October 2 in multiple languages including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English.
Reflecting Hombale Films’ grand vision to continue the original’s success, the production involved a massive war sequence featuring over 500 fighters and 3,000 participants.
Filmed across 25 acres of rugged terrain, this sequence took nearly 50 days to complete. The film’s technical team boasts acclaimed talents such as music composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan.
