When Nawazuddin Siddiqui was in the US busy shooting for his next film No Land’s Man, he got the shocking news of sister’s death back in India who was battling against the menace called breast cancer. Her sister Syama Tamshi Siddiqui was just 26 years old and has been battling cancer since the last six years when she was diagnosed with it at its advanced stage. It was disheartening news for the actor. He was about to shoot a scene when he got this news.
But once again he proved that he is an incredible professional who can keep all his emotions at pay and give the best for his commitment for which he was in the New York City shooting. Seeing his professionalism, the director of the film Mostofa Sarwar Farooki was compelled to open up about the dedication of Siddiqui at the film sets. He said Nawaz used to become emotional whenever he shot for the sequences that a character similar to his real-life sister with the same name.
However, he used to get calm and composed soon and focussed on the scenes he used to get from the director. Siddiqui asked the director that he has his sister in India called Syama and to his surprise, Mostofa said he was not aware of the fact and has written the script way back in 2014. He informed how Siddiqui performed the scene just after he got the news of his sister’s demise. He said the actor was there till the last scene and completed the schedule with his best efforts.
