With less than two months left for the release of Jolly LLB 3, excitement is already mounting, fueled by the star power of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, as well as the strong fanbase established by the first two films in this popular series. The buzz is set to increase soon, as the film’s promotions are expected to kick off in an innovative way.
On July 29, it was revealed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared three unique promotional assets for Jolly LLB 3. Interestingly, these are not the usual teasers, trailers, or short dialogue promos. Instead, the first asset is titled “Jolly LLB 3: National Anthem”, running for 31 seconds. The second is “Jolly LLB 3: Feature Presentation Begins”, lasting 23 seconds. The third and longest asset, “Jolly LLB 3: Intermission”, runs for 35 seconds. All three videos have been granted a clean ‘U’ certificate, making them suitable for all audiences. What remains to be seen is the timing and manner of these assets’ release.
Will they be screened before the film’s shows to build anticipation, or rolled out in advance as part of a larger promotional campaign? This novel approach could set a new trend in film marketing.Jolly LLB 3 is not the first film to employ a National Anthem video as part of its promotions. Back in 2010, the political drama Raajneeti released a 1-minute 9-second video featuring its star-studded cast—including Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, and others—alongside director Prakash Jha, all singing “Jana Gana Mana.”
This video was played before Raajneeti’s screenings and received a warm response from audiences. Turning back to Jolly LLB 3, the film is directed by Subhash Kapoor. The franchise began with Jolly LLB (2013), starring Arshad Warsi as the charming lawyer Jolly. Akshay Kumar took on the titular role in Jolly LLB 2 (2017). Both portray endearing lawyers named Jolly who challenge the system with wit and heart.
Reports suggest that the third installment will feature an epic and hilarious courtroom battle between both Jollys. Saurabh Shukla, who played the judge in the earlier films, also returns for this chapter.Fans can mark their calendars for the theatrical release of Jolly LLB 3 on September 19, 2025, promising another entertaining courtroom drama infused with humor and sharp social commentary.
