Dhurandhar Becomes First Film to Skip Tuesday Discount Offer Twice in a Row

Dhurandhar had a solid opening, but its weekday performance elevated the film to a new level of success. Industry insiders anticipated a strong second weekend, yet the film surprised everyone by raking in a massive ₹146.60 crores from Day 8 to Day 10 alone. As a result, the popular Tuesday ticket discount of ₹99 will once again not be applied this week.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The weekend trend clearly showed an incredible demand for Dhurandhar. Therefore, the distributors decided that cinemas should maintain blockbuster pricing throughout the week, including Tuesday, instead of reducing ticket prices as is customary for other films. The strong hold on the second Monday signals that this decision will pay off with steady collections despite no discount.”
Earlier, the Btown portal, Bollywood Hungama reported that since the Tuesday discount was introduced on April 22, 2025, only two other films—Raid 2 and Sitaare Zameen Par—did not offer the discount in their first week, but both adopted it from Week 2 onwards. Dhurandhar is the first film to forgo the Tuesday discount two weeks in a row.
An industry insider added, “If the momentum continues, Dhurandhar may skip the Tuesday discount on December 23 and December 30 as well, coinciding with the holiday season when business typically surges. Don’t be surprised if the discount is only introduced on January 6, 2026.”
Talking about the film, it has lead actors like Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, Dhurandhar is directed by Aditya Dhar and backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The sequel is slated for release on March 19, 2026.
