Actor Huma Qureshi announced on Instagram the cancellation of the eagerly awaited screening for Delhi Crime Season 3, citing two somber reasons: the recent tragic blast in Delhi and concerning news about veteran actor Dharmendra’s health. In her Instagram story, Huma addressed fans and industry colleagues, saying, “Given the tragic incident in Delhi and the distressing news about Dharmendra ji’s health, we have cancelled today’s screening for Delhi Crime Season 3.” She emphasized the need for quiet respect during these difficult times, acknowledging the collective excitement for the show’s release but stressing the importance of pausing to reflect.
The third season of the Netflix Original will now officially premiere on November 13. Huma concluded with heartfelt words: “I’m sure you’ll all be watching and sending us love then. Love & Prayers, Huma.”The tragic incident refers to a deadly car explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on the evening of November 10, 2025. A Hyundai i20 detonated at a traffic signal near Gate No. 1 around 6:50 pm, resulting in at least nine fatalities and over twenty injuries. The blast also caused several vehicles to catch fire, prompting emergency services to rush to the scene.
Meanwhile, Dharmendra is currently admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. As of November 11, 2025, his family—including Hema Malini and Esha Deol—has confirmed that he is stable, recovering, and responding well to treatment. He has been under observation following complaints of breathlessness and age-related health concerns. In light of these events, the Delhi Crime team chose to cancel the screening out of respect and solidarity, with the series set to release as planned on Netflix.
