Celina Jaitly Shares Heartbreaking Footage from Austria; Opens Up About Difficult Divorce and Child Custody Battle

Actor Celina Jaitly has taken to social media to share a deeply personal and emotional account of her ongoing divorce proceedings and a challenging custody battle. In a poignant video posted to Instagram, the actor is seen tending to the grave of her late son, Shamsher, in Austria—an experience she described as the only “reunion” she was permitted during her recent trip.

“I had no option but to share this devastating video to show the world my trauma as a mother,” Celina wrote, explaining that her recent weeks in Austria for divorce hearings were among the most difficult of her life. She alleged that despite legal undertakings made before an Austrian judge, her children—who she claims were moved to an undisclosed location—were not returned to the marital residence as expected.

In her detailed statement, the actor reflected on the significant personal and professional sacrifices she made throughout her marriage:

She moved from India to Dubai, Singapore, and Austria multiple times to support her husband’s career. She stepped away from her work and parents to focus on raising her children and supporting her husband’s ambitions. She claimed the separation began in September when she was served divorce papers under the guise of collecting a 15th-anniversary gift at a local post office.

Celina expressed profound heartbreak over her current lack of contact with her three children, alleging that despite a joint custody order from the Austrian Family Court, she is being denied communication. She further claimed that her children are being subjected to “brainwashing and intimidation” to turn them against her.

Beyond the custody issues, the actor alleged she faced abuse and significant financial depletion during the marriage, stating she watched her assets be taken “piece by piece.” While she maintained that she consistently sought an “amicable separation in good faith” for the welfare of her children, she claimed those efforts were met with unreasonable demands regarding her premarital assets and conditions intended to strip her of her dignity.

The post has drawn significant attention online, with many expressing sympathy for the actor as she navigates these complex legal and emotional hurdles in a foreign jurisdiction.
