Borivali Multiplex Sells Dhurandhar: The Revenge Tickets for a Record Rs. 3,100—Highest in India

The advance booking for Dhurandhar: The Revenge has shattered records with ticket prices soaring to unprecedented heights. Despite the “Super Blockbuster Plus” rates, shows are filling up rapidly, surprising the industry and surpassing previous high-ticket benchmarks set by films like Pushpa 2 – The Rule (2024), Stree 2 (2024), and Oppenheimer (2023).

Back in December 2024, Bollywood Hungama first reported the highest ticket price in India at Rs. 3,000 for Pushpa 2 at Maison PVR in Jio World Drive, BKC, Mumbai. Now, Inox Megaplex at Sky City Mall, Borivali—opened in August 2025 has raised the bar, with Insignia class tickets for the 10:15 pm and 11:15 pm shows priced at Rs. 2,900 and Rs. 3,100 respectively.

Remarkably, the Recliner Prime class tickets priced at Rs. 3,100 are almost sold out, with only a single ticket remaining as of 8:30 am on March 12 for both shows. The only other venue nearing these rates is Inox M5 Ecity, Bengaluru, where Dine-In screen tickets range between Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 2,900. Meanwhile, Maison PVR Mumbai, which previously set records with Pushpa 2, is selling Recliner class tickets for Dhurandhar at Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 2,550.A survey of other premium theatres reveals several with tickets priced above Rs. 2,000:

In Delhi-NCR, multiple cinemas list tickets above Rs. 2,000, including:

In Bengaluru, Cinepolis Nexus Shantiniketan’s VIP class tickets also exceed Rs. 2,000. Even Mumbai’s single screens have witnessed price hikes. Gaiety-Galaxy (G7 multiplex) raised balcony tickets to Rs. 220 and stalls to Rs. 180 for Dhurandhar, up from Rs. 200 and Rs. 180 respectively during Pushpa 2.

Maratha Mandir follows similar pricing. The most affordable tickets in Mumbai are at Nishat Cinema, with lower stall tickets at Rs. 150, upper stalls at Rs. 180, and balcony seats at Rs. 200 still high for a humble cinema that once charged Rs. 70 to Rs. 100.
