We often hear slogans like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and many more similar initiatives by our Government but little we do mean when we hear incidences of girls and even infant girls getting raped in our society. One more incident that shook the world was of Priyanka Reddy from Hyderabad when her body was found in the city in a mutilated situation. She was brutally raped and murdered and later even burnt alive in the secluded area of the city.
Among the various camps castigating the matter, we also heard some strong voices from the Bollywood as well. Right from Akshay Kumar to Swara Bhaskar, Farhan Akhtar, Richa Chadda and many more raised their concern about such incidences taking place in our country apart from sending their RIP messages to the lady who was raped and killed mercilessly in Hyderabad.
Swara has been often vociferous about such acts in the past and has stood on various issues in the country supporting the just and right. Later Rakul Preet Singh the popular South Indian actress and others also joined the race. Well, you better check their tweets where they have expressed their grief and shock to the said incident.
Just reading about the horrific #PriyankaReddy gangrape case. Numbed & shocked that as a society we continue to display our brutality! Instead of our humanity uniting us across religious & creed divisions, it seems our monstrosity unites us! Shame!!! ? #JusticeForPriyankaReddy https://t.co/BknS3F4pqH

What those men did to #Priyanka_Reddy is another dark reminder of how unsafe we’ve allowed our society to become by not delivering swift and telling justice in these cases..!
Heart goes out to her family in their hours of unimaginable grief.— Farhan Akhtar (@FarOutAkhtar) November 29, 2019
Whether it is #PriyankaReddy in Hyderabad, #Roja in Tamil Nadu or the law student gangraped in Ranchi,we seem to be losing it as a society. It has been 7 yrs to the gut-wrenching #Nirbhaya case & our moral fabric continues to be in pieces. We need stricter laws. This needs to STOP!
