“The conversation surrounding mental health and the importance of taking a break has now gained prominence, given the trying times we’ve had. As a creative individual, you have to allow yourself that breathing room, that space to grow, invent, and re-invent,” says Anushka.
She goes on to argue that women are encouraged to appear a certain way before becoming mothers, both before and after they have a child.
In the same interview, Anushka spoke candidly about her first months of pregnancy, describing them as “terrible.” Anushka also expressed her gratitude for Virat being present at the time because he was unable to play cricket due of the COVID-19 outbreak.
