Akshara Gowda is an actress and model who is more active in South Indian films. She was born on 24th December 1991 in Bangalore. She came from a non-filmy background as her father was a businessman. She did her schooling at New Cambridge High School in Bangalore and later went to Vijaya Junior College for her pre-university studies. She then got enrolled in B.Tech. Program at SKIT college, Bangalore. Since her school days, she has remained active in sports playing throwball at the state level and table tennis.

When she was in college, she entered the modeling world. She then remained the part of many fashion shows and events helping her to get a good break in this domain. While she was in modeling, she got the chance to be entered into South Indian film with a Tamil movie called Uyarthiru 420 in 2011 playing the character of Devatha. She then was seen in Chitkabrey – The Shades of Grey playing Palak Grewal. Since then it was no looking back for the actress.

Some of her films include Thuppakki, Arrambam, Irumbu Kuthirai, Bogan, Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thora, Maayavan, Premadalli, Panchatantra, Manmadhudu 2, and Trivikrama to name a few. Her debut in Bollywood came with the film called Rangrezz where she played the role of Jasmine in it. Talking about her personal life, she is single and not married to anyone. However, she was linked with Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, but she denied the media reports about the same.
