Aamir Khan Productions has officially announced the release date for their next romantic drama, Mere Raho, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 12, 2025, putting to rest earlier speculation that it might release on November 7 under the working title Ek Din, which would have clashed with Ikkis — the big-screen debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda.
Directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan alongside Aamir Khan, Mere Raho is set against the enchanting backdrop of Japanese winters. The film beautifully captures the renowned Snow Festival of Sapporo, with major portions shot in early 2024. Though the shoot initially faced challenges due to heavy, unexpected snowfall, the cast and crew persevered, eventually gaining momentum to keep the project on track for its theatrical launch.

For Junaid Khan, Mere Raho marks his third acting project and second theatrical release.  He debuted on OTT with Yash Raj Films’ Maharaj, which received positive reviews, but his first theatrical film, Loveyapa, met with a lukewarm response. Starring opposite Sai Pallavi — one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated actresses — this film offers Junaid a promising opportunity to further establish himself in the industry.
The December release places Mere Raho in a competitive window, arriving just a week after Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and Vishal Bhardwaj’s untitled film featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, setting the stage for an exciting end-of-year box office battle.
