Kurup Actor Walid Riachy Shares His Excitement About Working With Dulquer Salmaan & Director Srinath Rajendran
There are only a few fashion models who have really managed to make a mark in the film industry. Walid Riachy is surely one among those rare ones. In an early phase of his career, Walid Riachy has worked in big films like The Misfits and Mollywood movie named Kurup.
Walid’s stylish looks and excellent performance as a super-wealthy Prince Walid in the biopic of Sukumara Kurup is winning praises from critics as well as the audience. Even though it’s his first movie in India, he’s already being looked up to as a star.
Kurup released worldwide on Nov 12, 2021 on 1500 screens and proved to be a huge success. Before the release of the film, Walid shared his excitement about working with Dulquer Salmaan and director Srinath Rajendran. Posting a carousel of pictures and videos from the film’s release event, he wrote, “So proud to be celebrating @kurupmovie release with the lead actor & the legend @dqsalmaan & the amazing director @srinath__rajendran , the surrounding was full of fans that are extremely excited for the release tomorrow.”
Walid Riachy started his career with a critically acclaimed shoot for a popular restaurant chain named ‘Crepaway’ in Lebanon. After he gained initial fame, he moved to Dubai and became a model for the Bareface modelling agency. As one of the most famous models, he did several iconic shoots including the one for a magnificent floating luxury hotel, Queen Elizabeth 2.
The best part about Walid is that he doesn’t restrict himself while at work and loves to offer as much value as possible. He loves to share his creative inputs with designers and photographers. Talking about the same, he earlier told Mid-Day, “I love experimenting with the mood and feeling of the shoot, taking my job very seriously, while still feeling free and at ease at shoots.”
