Margarita with a Straw First Week Box Office Collection: Film Does an Average Business
It was Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao who supported the Kalki Koechlin starrer film – Margarita With a Straw, however, the film was not able to do a good business. As per reports, the Shonali Bose movie was an awe inspiring one, however, it lacked the entertainment element in it. The film embarked with a promising weekend post, which the exhibitors were able to boost up the number of shows in it.
The acting of the lead actress Kalki Koechlin is simply outstanding and incredibly remarkable, which has gained good amount of accolades for the actress from different camps, however, the movie needs more support to witness the success over the box office. Even before the movie was released it helps to garner loads of appreciation not just at the domestic level but even at the global level too.
Now, if you talk about the box office collection about the Indian drama film, it simply was able to collect an amount of 50 lakhs on its very first day, while the days in the weekend witnessed a collection of around 0.75 crore and 1 crore respectively. The movie is very much different than the conventional films, hence had to face tough competitions from new releases like the Emraan Hashmi starrer film called Mr. X. As per reports, the first week box office collection for Margarita With a Straw tolls to around 3.75 crores.
