Do Aur Do Pyaar Box Office Day 1: Vidya Balan’s Film Starts Slow Amid BOGO Offer, Earns ₹50 Lakh

On Friday, April 19, as the first phase of the Lok Sabha Election commenced, the Bollywood had romantic comedy ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ featuring Vidya Balan to hit the theaters. The coinciding the first phase of the Lok Sabha election day, the film’s collection was affected. The clash with the election, the film managed to make ₹0.5 crore net on its opening day, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. The movie garnered an overall occupancy of 9.10% in Hindi language, with Chennai city witnessing the highest 2D occupancy on April 19.

Renowned film trade analyst Sumit Kadel gave the movie a four-star rating. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he declared, “Despite securing only half the screens of Madgaon Express, #DoAurDoPyaar matched the collections of other releases like 12th Fail, Madgaon Express, and Lapata Ladies, earning INR 80 lakhs net on its opening day in India.”

Another film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, shared his insights on social media platform X, stating, “‘DO AUR DO PYAAR’ OPTS FOR SMART, FOCUSED RELEASE STRATEGY… BOGO OFFER ANNOUNCED… The pre-release buzz is positive, and the anticipation is building up… #DoAurDoPyaar is releasing in 814 screens worldwide…”

He further added, “Team #DADP has announced the #Buy1Get1 [#BOGO] free ticket offer. #DADP is releasing in the following international markets: #USA, #UK and #Ireland, #UAE and #GCC, #Australia, #NewZealand, #Fiji, #Germany, #SouthAfrica, #Singapore, #Netherlands, and #Caribbean.”

Directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, ‘Do Aur Do Pyaar’ showcases a stellar cast including Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
