Review

On the face of it, the film happens to be the amalgamation of several situations depicted in a wide range of films. At one end you get to see a film based on IIFA awards and on the other side we see dialogues and sequences copied from other movies. So it is simply a rip off of several films and B Town actors and self-mockery seen at the peak combined. You can find more than six Bollywood movies, which have only been mentioned, but at the same time has been mocked upon. So, there is humor but nothing exceptional in the film that can impress the audience in terms of content and story. What you find is a random stuff that can make you laugh but not entertain in a long run for obvious reasons.

Now talking about the star performances, the film has a good star cast, and we have some of the best actors of Bollywood and even the filmmaker Karan Johar too seen in the movie. Diljit Dosanjh is still new in B Town but still have managed to give a decent performance, while Sonakshi Sinha has maintained her bubbly look and feel in her character of Jeenat Patel the struggling fashion designer but still surviving. Now, the others have cameo type roles be it Lara Dutta or Boman Irani and the list goes on. Yet in terms of performance everyone has done a decent job which has added some entertainment value. The locations are good, the photography is okay and so is the direction yet these failed to shoot up the entertainment value of the film.

Welcome to New York The Last Word

The film Welcome To New York happens to be an comedy movie with lots of copy paste thing to come out promising a comedy movie. If you are looking for a decent watch with some tangible content then avoid watching such film as it can make you laugh but would not give you the thing you expect in return. Yet one can try if you have nothing to watch, but that’s not the case.
