Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan is basking in the back-to-back success of his movies, ‘Judwaa 2’ being the recent success at the box-office. The next year will see the actor arriving with a different film. Varun Dhawan will next feature in a slice-of-life love story titled ‘October’, which will be produced by Shoojit Sircar, Varun Dhawan and Rising Sun Films. Juhi Chaturvedi will pen the flick. ‘October’ first look showed Varun Dhawan running with tense facial expressions.
The camera started rolling for the film ‘October’ in September. Varun Dhawan will star opposite the newcomer Banita Sandhu in it. Varun Dhawan shared the release date of the film ‘October’ on his Twitter handle by writing “As October comes to an end it arrives earlier next year. #October releases on 13 th April now. @ShoojitSircar @ronnielahiri @BanitaSandhu.”
The film ‘October’ marks Varun’s first collaboration with the talented filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. Talking about the film ‘October’, Sircar revealed “It is a genre that I have always wanted to delve in. While love and romance have been entwined with Indian cinema, there is abundance in that emotion that everyone can have their own interpretations of. Juhi and I have always tried to create stories from the reflections of real life moments that we see around us. October is another effort to explore those moments out of simple situations of life.”
Juhi Chaturvedi expressed herself about this venture by saying “Our stories come from day to day intricacies & complexities of life…the effort is always to find insightful and charming nuances in what seems the obvious. With Shoojit’s innate ability to steer the story in a way that creates poignant and compelling moments out of simple situations of life, I am hoping this time too we create something people find a connect with and make their own.”
Varun Dhawan starrer ‘October’ is very much likely to lock horns with Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer sci-fi thriller ‘2.0’ that also hits the screens on the same day.
