Tigmanshu Dhulia is a known man in Bollywood, who has tried everything there, right from acting, direction, screen writing and even casting direction. He hails from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in a family of judge as his father worked in this prestigious position in Allahabad High Court, while her mother was Sankrit professor in the university. He did his schooling from St Joseph, while his college was completed from Anglo Bengali Intermediate College in Allahabad. After his graduation in literature, he went to NSD (national school of drama), New Delhi wherein he did his acting and direction course from 1989. His younger brothers work in Navy and as a judge in Uttrakhand High Court respectively.

Wiki : Tigmanshu Dhulia After his graduation from NSD, he headed to Mumbai wherein he got the chance to work as a casting director in a movie called Bandit Queen (biopic of Phoolan Devi). His next project was Stiff Upper Lips, wherein he played the same role while also got the chance to do a cameo as a stallholder. However, his direction career started with the movie called The Warrior released in 2000 wherein he assisted the director – Asif Kapadia. Later he also assisted the director of Electric Moon called Pradip Krishen and Ketan Mehta for the movie called Sardar. Meanwhile he also worked for TV working on a number of TV serials both before entering into Bollywood and even in the later stage.

If you remember the Sony based channel called Just Mohabbat, he was the man who directed the same. His other work include Ek Sham Ki Mulaqat”, “Hum Saath Saath Hain Kya”, “Fursat Main”, “Musafir”, “Bhawaron Ne Khilaya Phool” and “Anekon Hitler”. His work was applauded by his audience and critics. He then got the chance to direct his first film called Haasil in the year 2003, which is basically a love story based on students politics of Northern India. It turned out a big hit and was applauded by few awards and nominations. His next directorial venture was Charas, while his movie Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster brought applauds for him and his performance.

His next venture was Paan Singh Tomar, starring Irrfan Khan, which even bagged the National Film Award in the best feature film category. His other recent movies include the sequel of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Milan Talkies, Bullet Raja, Jai Ramji and Begum Samru. He has the privilege of getting the lifetime membership for the International Film and Television Club of Asian Academy of Film and TV by the president himself. Last year, he did a movie with Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das called Revolver Rani, which was basically a B grade movie, yet was liked by everyone. Currently he is filming Yaara.

Abhiraj Minawala is a filmmaker and actor who is based in Mumbai. He basically hails from Gujarat wherein he was born and brought up at. He did his schooling and college from Gujarat and then headed to Mumbai to pursue his dreams in filmmaking. He was fond of movies and wanted to make his career in Bollywood, hence once he completed his education, headed to Mumbai to fulfill his dreams. It was a big of struggle for this man, however, soon with a passage of time, he managed to get the break in B Town.  He has come a long way in establishing himself in the industry.

He started working as assistant director with the B Town film called Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year starring Ranbir Kapoor released in 2009. Since then it was no looking back for him as he got one film or the other giving him the chance to learn and hone filmmaking skills. The next film he got was Band Baaja Baraat having Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. The other films he did as an assistant director include Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Gunday, Fan and Sultan. This has given him the chance to work with top directors including Yash Raj, Manish Sharma, and Ali Zafar to name a few.

Besides, he has also tried acting in few films getting smaller roles starting with the film Aashayein in 2010 playing the party guy, while in 2011 worked as Luv Ka The End and then in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan as Shera the same year. In the year 2018, he will be doing his debut in direction with the film Loveratri starring Ayush Sharma and Warina Hussain which is produced by Salman Khan. The movie is releasing in September 2018 amidst the eve of Navratri. Talking about his personal life, he is married to Swetha in 2015 and they have been rating for a while before getting married to each other. Deven Bhojani is a popular actor from small screen and is also seen in movie. He was born and brought up in Mumbai in the year 1969. He is completed his Graduation in Commerce from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and then headed to the United States in filmmaking at the University of Southern California. He also tried his luck in real-estates apart from trying his hand in filmmaking and theatres. But soon he kept his focus on acting. Apart from acting he also proved to be a good director, with the show “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai”, in 2005. He has also worked in many movies as a supporting role.

Shonali Bose is a popular name in filmmaking. She is a known director, screenwriter and producer and best known for her movie Amu, which has exposed the suppressed history of genocidal attacks over the Sikh Community in 1984 after the assassination of Indira Gandhi. Shonali Bose is from Calcutta, while was brought up in cities like Delhi and Bombay. She did her graduation in humanities from the known Miranda House College followed by moving to the New York to get her masters in Political Science from the known Columbia University. During her college days, she was involved in activism and theaters as well and acted in a number of school/college plays and dramas.

Her career started with a role of an organizer at National Lawyers Guild wherein she directed live community TV in Manhattan in the US. This was soon recognized by the MFA Directing Program at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Her short films like The Gendarme Is Here and Undocumented along with the feature documentary called Lifting the Veil were screened in a couple of prestigious festivals and several other venues of the world. She has produced limited number of films, which include Amu through which she started her directorial debut along with doing the writing of script and production as well.

This film was a big success in India getting positive reviews. She has won seven national and international awards for this film, which include FIPRESCICritics Award, Gollapudi Srinivas Award for best first-time director and National Film Award for Best Feature Film in English. The book called Amu was written by her only, which became the screenplay of the film. She brought both the movie and her book with same title at the same time. In the year 2012, she co-authored Chittangong, which was directed by her ex husband. It revolved around the Chittagong armory raid of 1930. The movie has Manoj Bajpai as Masterda Surya Sen. Next is her recently released movie Margarita with a Straw starring the talented Kalki Koechlin, which showcases a girl having cerebral palsy. As far as her personal life is concerned, she was married to filmmaker Bedabrata Pain, however, she has now separated.
