We know Rajkummar Hirani to be the brain behind creating the Munna Bhai series in B Town. He had directed and co-produced two of the parts of the known franchise, however, as per the latest development he has been removed from the director’s position for the third part of the film Munna Bhai 3. This has been done in light to the sexual harassment complaint by a lady team member of his previous film Sanju where she alleged that he mistreated her during the making of the said movie. This has created lots of buzz among the social media and the B Town industry, but no one has come forward to support the director.
It further strained the relationship with the producer – Vidhu Vinod Chopra who has remained the produced of the Munna Bhai series. In fact, Chopra has been always avoiding this question and the only thing he said earlier was that he will speak when the time would come and that this is not the time to react. Finally, when Chopra has announced his third part in the media the reports also suggest that he is considering a new director as he has dropped Hirani’s name from the director’s chair. Soon after the lady made her statement in the media, the relationship between Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra started turning bad.
Also, Hirani has confirmed about his strained relationship with the producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He said the terms with him is crashing down under a strong pressure while he is doing all he can to fix things and take things back to normal. On the other side, the producer Chopra has been very strict on this issue and preferred not to speak about in the press or any media interaction. But his move to replace Rajkummar Hirani in his upcoming the most awaited movies in B Town called Munna Bhai 3 having Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, we can make out that things have gone too far.
