Siddharth Raj Anand popularly known as Siddharth Anand is a known film director at Bollywood. He comes from a typical film background with his father Bittu Anand is known to produce the movie Shahenshah with Amitabh Bacchan, while grandfather was the known screenwriter called Inder Raj Anand who wrote more than 120 movies in Bollywood, which include the popular ones called Safar, Ek Duje Ke Liye, Sangam, etc. While his uncle Tinnu Anand is a known actor from the B Town. Being born and brought in the film city, he did his schooling and college from Mumbai only and soon was seen joining the film career to move ahead in his life.

Wiki : Siddharth Anand started his career as assistant director to Rahul Rawail in his movie called Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, which had the lead role of Kajol. He then helped Kunal Kohli to write the 2004 hit movie called Hum Tum, while also worked as a the executive producer and associate director for the said project. His first movie as director was Salaam Namaste starring Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta, which was loosely based on the movie called Nine Months starring Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore. The movie was one of the biggest blockbusters of 2005, which helped him to carve his niche in the field of direction in the B Town.

His next big venture was the movie Ta Ra Rum Pum, which was released in the year 2007 starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji, which was a semi hit giving accolades for his direction. The third movie was Bachna Ae Haseeno, which starred Ranbir Kapoor, Minisha Lamba, Deepika Padukone and Bipasha Basu in 2008. The movie was a big hit not just in India but all over the world. All these three movies was from Yash Raj Films. His recent movies include Anjaana Anjaani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, which was produced by Sajid Nadiawala and was directed by him. It was released in 2010, which turned out to be an average grosser.

Apart from working as a director, he has also written a couple of movies, which include Hum Tum, Anjaana Anjaani, Bachana Ae Haseeno, etc. Besides, he has even composed movie for the music director Vishal Shekhar in all their movies and music albums and helped them become popular. As far as his personal life is concerned, he is married to Mamta Bhatia Ananad and the couple has a son called Ranveer whom he has named taking the inspiration from his own movie Ta Ra Rum Pum from the character of Saif Ali Khan. Currently he is directing the sequel of Welcome – Most Welcome 2, which is to be released this year.
