Shweta Pandit is among the popular Bollywood Playback singer, recording Vocalist, composer, songwriter and a performing actor in B Town. She was born and brought uin Mumbai City in a music family popularly known as the Mewati Gharana, which belongs to legends like Pandit Motiram ji and Pandit Jyotiram who all are among the veterans in music. Her schooling came from the popular Utpal Shanghvi, while for college she went to Mithibai College for her further studies. From her tender age of four, she started working with some of the top Indian computers called Ilayaraja for her award-winning movie called Anjali, which was then re-recorded in the Hindi language. This was later dubbed for the lead role in a Hindi movie.

Wiki : Shweta Pandit’s break in Bollywood started with YRF’s movie called Mohabbatien in the year 2000 wherein she sang five songs at the age of 12, which broke the record of having the youngest playback singer for any Bollywood movie in Tinsel Town. This gave her a number of movies to sing different songs. Some of her hit songs include the songs from “Ladies vs Ricky Bahl” released in the year 2011, Yamla Pagla Deewana in 2011 by Dharamendra, Partner by David Dhawan in 2007, Sarkar Raj from R Gopal Varma in 2009, Anees Bazmee’s Welcome (2007), Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Neal ‘n’ Nikki (2005), Naach (2004) and (2011) etc. Apart from Hindi, she is known for playback singing in South Indian languages.

Apart from the playback singing in Hindi and other Indian languages movies, she has also embarked with her Album called Main Zindagi Hoon, which was produced under the banner called EMI Virgin Records, India. This therefore gave her the tag of popular Indian Pop Star at a very young age. She later came out with three different videos from the very same album. Some of her other albums include Aplam Chaplam, which is remix album of several classic songs from Bollywood movies, and an album with Salman Khan in the Music Video. Apart from a number of movies and albums, she has been the part of TV and had participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the year 1996 during the regime of singer called Sonu Nigam. She has won a number of awards for Hindi and South Indian songs from various stages.

She had also embarked in one of the reality TV show in the role of a playback singer in the year 2008 called Mission Ustaad over the popular channel called 9X, which was produced by the UN and judged by the veteran AR Rahman and popular poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar. This was among the first musical show produced by UN, which came up for a number of causes of the United Nations. Besides, she is also active in giving a number of live performances, which include the AR Rahman’s show called Jai Ho Home Concert, which went on a World Tour performing at a number of countries including Middle East, US, UK, Asia, Australia and back in India as well. She has even performed at Nobel Prize concert based in Oslo in Norway, which was organized by Denzel Washington and Anne Hathaway (the Hollywood actors), which was attended by the Kind of Norway.
