Do you know the third idiot in the infamous movie 3 Idiots of Raj Kumar Hirani, yes then you would certainly recognize this man called Sharman Joshi. He is a known actor of Bollywood, who has done a number of movies including Ferrai Ki Sawaari, 3 Idiots, Life in a .. Metro, Golmal, Rang De Basanti, to name a few. He comes from a theater actor family, which gave him the inspiration to enter into the world of acting. He belongs to a Gujarati family, his father; Arvind Joshi is a known Gujarati theatre actor, while his aunty Sarita Joshi too is a known actress of theatre. He was born in Gujarat and brought in both Ahmadabad and Mumbai. He is fluent in Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi and English. He is married to Prem Chopra’s daughter called Prerana and has twin boys in his family.
Before entering Bollywood, he did stage shows and his play All the Best was very much popular, which he did for three years in a row completing 550 times. His debut in Bollywood was seen with the movie called Godmother, however, he was recognized with the movies Style and Excuse me in the role of Bantu. Later the movies with Aamir Khan and other seasoned actors of Bollywood helped him to carve his niche in the industry. He was also seen in Hello, which is basically an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel called One Night @ the Call Center. Apart from acting and doing films, he also hosted a popular game show known as PokerFace: Dil Saccha Chehra Jhootha aired at Real TV. He has the honorary membership for a lifetime for the International Film And Television Club of the Asian Academy. He was nominated a couple of times, however, could win only the IIFA Award for 3 Idiots under Best Supporting Actor.
