Shahana Goswami is an Indian actress who hails from New Delhi from a Bengali family. She was born on 6th May 1986 in New Delhi and went on to attend Sardar Patel Vidyalaya Delhi. After completing her school, she headed to Mumbai to do her college from Sophia College. She was very active in sports and was the house captain in her school apart from being the sports champion as well. She secured second position in National Artificial Wall Climbing Competition and has represented her schools in various sports including badminton, athletics, basketball, volleyball and badminton at the zonal level.
She also learn classical dance and performed Odissi when she was 10 years at different places with her master Guru Padmashri Kiran Segal. Shahana always wanted to be an actor since her childhood and this is the reason why she headed to Mumbai to do her graduation and explore the opportunities to enter the acting world. She entered into a theatre group of Jaimini Pathak working as production assistant and acted even in a couple of plays like Arabian Nights and Seagull. She soon got the chance to work in Reema Kagti’s movie Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd for a small role of Boman Irani’s daughter. She soon got her first film as a lead actor called Ru Ba Ru by Arjun Bali opposite Randeep Hooda her co-star.
She got the lead role when she was doing her college and went to Bangkok to shoot the movie. Soon she was auditioned for the film Rock On to bag the role of Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend and wife. She got a couple of awards for this character including the best actress critics from Filmfare which no one in the supporting role has ever got in the awards. She also appeared in a music video called Let’s Do The Things. She did a number of commercial ads including for the Fevicol. She will be seen in Rock On 2 and Force of Destiny. As far as other awards are concerned, she had bagged awards for the films like Firaq and Under Construction.
