Bio – Saqib Saleem Qureshi is an Indian actor and model who was born in the 1988 who made his debut in one of the romantic comedy Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge. Though the movie got a moderate box office success, however, his performance garnered good appreciation. However, he was more appreciated for his roles played in movies like Mere Dad Ki Maruti and Bombay Talkies. During the college, he first entered in the restaurant business while trying his feat in modeling simultaneously. He then shifted to Bombay by rejecting his father’s plan of MBA. Before trying his luck in movies, he was seen trying cricket wherein he played for Delhi and J&K.

Once he reached Bombay, he started accepting a couple of modeling assignments, which included some ad contracts with Pepsi, Lay, KFC, Bar One, Airtel Sprite, Tata Docomo, etc. As he started doing a number of ads, he also got the chance to act in Bollywood movies. His fashion designer cum fried – Varun Bahl really helped him to get the audition for Yash Raj Films, which fetched him the role for his debut movie – Mujhse Fraaaandship Karoge (2011) followed by the movie called Mere Dad Ki Maruti in the year 2013. His debut movie was the romantic comedy, which was directed by Nupur Asthana. This movie was released in a big banner of YRF, which rendered him a good career in the film world.

His hard work for his debut movie really fetched him critical success, which helped him to garner good applauds from the different quarters of the society. The critics really appreciated him to get good remarks for his performance in the said movie, which was applauded from different corners and camps of the movie world. He was also nominated for the said movie for Filmfare and other awards, giving the recognition a good exposure.

In the year 2013, Saleem was seen in another YRF called Mere Dad Ki Maruti, which was directed by Ashima Chibber. The movie revolved around the wedding of a Punjabi family, wherein the character of the Saleem was seen stealing the car for his would be brother in law. He has played perfectly the character, which again applauded him for the role he played. Then came his experimental anthology in the movie called Bombay Talkies, which comprises of four different films. Saleem played the character of a gay in the movie that is seen infatuated by his senior’s husband. Again, his performance was appreciated far and wide. His upcoming movie is called Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh and has signed for Hawaa Hawaai of Amol Gupte wherein he will be playing the character of skating coach.
