Hialing from Delhi, Ritu had a strong conviction that would follow a career in Films. She started paving her way into films quite early as she finished her schooling and education. Having studied in Delhi and Mumbai, Ritu had high dreams and goals of making it big on the silver screen. Ritu headed towards south to pursue acting.
Her two brother Vicky Barmecha and Rajat Barmecha are also following their respective careers in acting.

As luck would have it Ritu grabbed some high profile projects in Telugu movies. After being dropped from a few, Ritu made her mark in the movie Aha Naa Pellanta in which she starred opposite Allari Naresh.
Aha Naa Pellanta was a multi starrer movie and a family drama. Ritu played key role of Sanjana. Aha Naa Pellenta did fairly well on the silver screen. Ritu got her coveted recognition as an actress.
Ritu’s career took another turn when she was cast in Vassol Raja. This was a Prabhu and Kamal Hassan starrer comedy movie inspired from Bollywood’s Munna Bhai MBBS. Vasool Raja gave Ritu another opportunity to make her talent reckoned.
Following this Ritu Barmecha appeared in Action 3D which was another power packed drama. In its ensemble cast, Ritu played the role of Sandhya. It was a campus cum youngster drama that made a good collection at the box office.
Ritu is playing the lead female role in the TV serial Agar Tum Saath Ho on Zindagi Channel. The serial has gone on air on 4 October. Ritu plays the role of Neema who is a girl coming from an affluent family and falls in love for a boy from a simple background. This class difference forms the backdrop of this love story.
