Reshma Rathore is an Indian actress who works in Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu films. She played the role of Trisha’s friend in the Telugu version of movie Bodyguard. She played a leading role in the film Ee Rojullo. It was directed by Maruthi Dasari. The film released in 2012 establishing Reshma as an accomplished actress. Her performance in the film was highly appreciated and she won nominations for best debut actress in the year.
Reshma Rathore is a native of Yellandhu district in Kothagudem. Her father was Haridas Rathore , a lawyer. She has a younger brother who is at present a medical student.
Reshma’s film career began in the year 2012 when she was cast in the role of Trisha’s friend in Bodyguard. This being a super hit film Reshma’s role was appreciated by one and all. She was noticed for her good performance and later bagged full length roles in films like Ee Rojullo and Jai Sriram. She went ahead and did more Telugu films and soon began to be counted among the leading ladies of Telugu. Reshma , though a Rathore girl, had the typical south Indian features which made her click among the Telugu audience. She was apt for traditional and modern characters. She was cast in an ambitious Tamil project by the name Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay in 2016. In the film she played Shruti and impressed everyone with her spontaneous acting. In 2015 she entered Malayalam films too with the low budget film Appavum Veenjum.
For her impactful screen presence and skilled acting, Reshma Rathore was received the award for Best Confident Face of the Year for Ee Rojullo in 2012. She was later nominated for the same film as the Best female Debutant.
