Raag Desh Movie Review : A Courtroom Drama Becoming Too Preachy losing its edge

Plot
This movie deals with a story of the historical Red Fort Trials witnessed in the year 1945 revolving around the lives of three Indian National Army men. They are INA officers called Major General Shah Nawaz Khan, Lt Col Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon and Lt Col Prem Sahgal who were court-martialed for allegedly waging war against the British Indian Army in September 1942 and April 1945 having the charges of murder and abetment against them. So, what goes next can be caught in any nearby screen.
Review :
The script is well researched giving a film with a good intention having convincing story, however, is marred with poor execution. The movie begins without having smooth transitions in between different scenes confusing the audience. One can find the story to be loosely-knitted having enough scope for improvement, which could have been tighter. One can find a number of unwanted sequences in it worth deleting. Coming to the start performances, Kunal Kapoor is back again with his average performance as Major General Shah Nawaz Khan though he is a good actor but he seemed too casual in this role. On the other side, Amit Sadh was good while performing the character Lt Col Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon.
Lastly, Mohit Marwah embarks as a favorite man in this film with his cool performance. And don’t forget to catch Kenny Desai in his character of Bhulabhai Desai who steals the show with his stunning courtroom monologues. Talking about the direction and music, the movie is really difficult to understand as it moves too randomly hence it going to prove very much incomprehensible for those who are not par with the modern Indian history. Thus one can find the director Tigmanshu Dhulia disappointing in a big way. Technically the film appeared to be very poor and it can easily ruin the movie with abrupt cuts turning it to be too preachy made somewhere like a documentary.

If you are catching up this film avoid going with too many expectations from this film for getting a chapter from the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. All thanks to the poor execution that has ruined the film with terrible editing mess difficult to understand.
