The film Padmaavat which finally hit amidst all the fierce agitation and opposition seems to be going big over the box office. Thanks to the response it has got both from the critics and the audience, the collection for the film seems to be never ending over the box office. The fringe groups left no stone un-turned to stop the release but with the Supreme Court intervention, the movie has come a big way over the box office. In just four days the film was able to enter into the 100 crore club, which is the big achievement for Bhansali and the actors in the film.Despite the widespread protests and agitation against the film and no screening in some states, like Rajasthan, Haryana and Gujarat, the epic period drama film called Padmaavat by Sanjay Leela Bhansali seems to be an absolute winner over the domestic box office. Within 4 days the film has crossed the Hundred Crore mark at the box office. When we saw Tiger Zinda Hai doing similar sort of stance over the box office, how could Padmavat stay away from reaching into similar club with so much buzz for the film seen and heard around.
As per reports, the first weekend or extended weekend collection for Padmavat has reached to around 114 crore over the box office and it will remain with steady collection till the next film PadMan and Aiyaary ends up hitting the theatres on 9th February. The makers though had to face a lot from the frings groups like Karni Sena but they should be still thankful to them that have created the huge buzz in the media making the film a big hit.
