The much hyped biopic, which seemed to have done a decent opening at Box Office has one more good news. The film has now become a tax free movie in Maharashtra, which is made on the life of Neerja Bhanot who rescued the life of more than 350 passengers over the flight Pan Am 73. Thanks to the incredible reception the film has received and a decent performance of Sonam Kapoor, which together made all the difference. Sonam was first to tweet about the step thanking the Maharashtra government for making her film tax free in the state and obliged for the move.
As Maharashtra happens to be among the biggest circuits in India, which consumes the B Town movies the most and is the same place wherein the entertainment tax in highest in India. Hence it is an appreciating move by the filmmaker making the film tax free. The movie is made on the life of Neerja Bhanot who gave her life to secure the lives of so many passengers boarding the flight. With entertainment tax being levied off, the film is likely to draw a good collection over the box office.
